Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of George Foreman GP200RED GrillCustomer Review: Non-stick finish problem Summary: 1 Stars
I really liked this machine -- for a while. It was easy to set up and break down for transporting. BUT, even with careful cleaning, it (as well as my small kitchen electric unit) has peeling/flaking finish. I think it is unhealthy to eat food which could contain particles of this finish. I can't find my manual to see if it has replacement parts available. But, certainly can't find parts on the web. So, getting in touch with them for service has, thus far, become impossible. So, if you only need it to last for a season or two, it would be fine. But, don't expect it to endure much longer.
Description of George Foreman GP200RED GrillTake your barbecue show on the road with this ready-to-roll George Foreman portable grill. Designed to let you "wheel it and grill it," the propane-powered unit folds up into a compact design reminiscent of a piece of rolling luggage. Once you get the grill where you want it--a friend's house, the park, the beach--reassembly takes just a few minutes. Since the grill runs on a 1-pound propane tank (not included), you never need to worry about transporting a large supply of fuel. The round grill is 16 inches in diameter and features the signature George Foreman design. Raised grill lines and a center channel help funnel fat away from food into the included grease pan for lighter, more healthful results. Because the cooking surface is solid, the grill also avoids irregular flames and flare-ups. The food-friendly, nonstick surface is easy to clean and more than 240 square inches in area. You can cook with the grill in low or high position, and the side legs provide a resting spot for the lid. The temperature control dial is simple and straightforward, with low, medium, and high settings, and the ignition is a push button. Both the size of this grill and its portability are quite convenient, but it may require some practice to get the hang of setting it up and taking it down. The unit comes with two removable side shelves for plates and condiments. --Emily Bedard
